Classified by LCD screen panel type:
TN LCD panel: The most basic and common display mode, simple to manufacture, high transmittance, and low cost.
IPS panel: Excellent full-view angle characteristics, dynamic clarity, and color reproduction.
VA LCD panel: With its wide viewing angle, high contrast, and frictionless alignment advantages, it has become the preferred choice for large-size TFT LCD panels.
Another classification is shown in the figure below:
Currently, LCD screens are the most widely used in the display market, while OLED screens are the mainstream choice for high-end displays. OLED also features ultra-thinness, energy saving, wide color gamut, wide viewing angle, etc. OLED displays also have the characteristic of flexible and rollable, which is the basis for realizing curved displays.
Classified by LCD screen interface type::
The most common interfaces are RGB, SPI, MCU, MIPI, and LVDS interfaces. Others include HDMI, TTL, and STN interfaces, etc.
Classified by LCD screen driving method:
There are three types: Static driving, Simple Matrix driving, and Active Matrix driving.
