The second China Tangshan Industrial Design Exhibition grandly opened on October 31, 2019, at the Tangshan Nanhu International Convention and Exhibition Center. Numerous well-known domestic and international industrial brands showcased their new products, demonstrating the future trends of industrial design. Shenzhen Wan Guo Electric Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise integrating scientific research, development, production, and engineering. The company uses LG brand LCD screens to produce double-sided ultra-thin display advertising screens, transparent display showcases, large-screen touch conference all-in-one machines, and commercial display advertising machines.

Nowadays, the commercial display advertising machine industry has gradually entered a mature stage, and the market's demands for advertising machine products are getting higher and higher, especially in terms of picture contrast, image quality processing, and eye protection. At the exhibition, Shenzhen Wan Guo showcased a multi-series of double-sided screen advertising machines. The high-definition advertising machines with their slim and stylish design delivered stunning playback effects, revolutionizing the display modes of traditional projection and laser advertising machines. They can switch playback on both screens simultaneously and are rapidly entering the commercial display market. At Shenzhen Wan Guo's booth, visitors saw a wide range of products, including the EG3 series (narrow-border double-sided digital signage - vertical hanging model), the EG7 series (rhombus base model - vertical double-sided digital signage), and the F series (with touch double-sided glass screen). The double-sided screens attracted everyone's attention, with many exhibitors coming forward to observe and exchange ideas.

Wan Guo Electric has achieved an industry revolution through a simple screw replacement. According to Liu Guohua, general manager of Wan Guo Electric, the double-sided screen technology is now in use, mainly in new retail areas, bank branch windows, and other aspects of domestic smart city upgrades. For example, in the application scenario of a clothing store, the number of times and styles of clothing taken by customers each day are accurately transmitted to the owner's backend, WeChat, and email through artificial intelligence, allowing store owners to analyze customer groups and obtain more accurate market needs. This artificial intelligence recognition system can be applied to all products, from water to laptops.

When asked about companies he admires, Liu Guohua, general manager of Wan Guo Electric, said: "Internationally, I admire LG from South Korea. They are our role model, but they tend to do everything. We currently focus on specializing in one industry, and in the future, we will also develop a state where we can comprehensively deploy and expand."

Wan Guo Electric has always focused on the technological development and sales of LCD double-sided screens, forging ahead on the path of product micro-innovation. On the one hand, Wan Guo Electric is the world's first in the LCD field, and is a leader in the double-sided screen field. Regarding LG, Wan Guo leads them in LCD screens, while LG leads Wan Guo in OLED screens. On the other hand, Wan Guo Electric is also a leading company in large-screen flexible splicing technology. This flexible splicing technology has been widely used in the wave-shaped design of the Guangzhou Canton Tower.

Shenzhen Wan Guo, through micro-innovation in conventional products, has solved the pain points of end customers. This not only ensures that the product technology can concentrate on overcoming difficulties, but also gives the product unique advantages and achieves a major breakthrough in appearance.

Regarding bottlenecks in team technological breakthroughs, Liu Guohua frankly stated: "Our team spent about 36 hours, almost non-stop, working on something as simple as an external screw. We sat on the floor, constantly examining why there had to be a screw. As a founder and leader, I demanded that there be no screws. The engineering department couldn't design it without screws, so they worked for more than 30 hours, finally coming up with a solution: a frame without any screws. The snap-on mode solved the screw problem. Traditionally, screws would have been used for stability. Later, the snap-on mode was developed, and the principle was sound, everyone agreed, but then finding a supplier took two months because of the large supply volume required."

In the product development process, Wan Guo also undertakes the mission of energy saving and emission reduction. Liu Guohua said that the thinnest screen is now 20mm thick. Five years ago, it was 60mm-80mm, a reduction to one-fourth. This reduces energy consumption; the wattage is now double what it was before, around 40 watts compared to 80 watts previously. Previously, a double-sided screen was like two TVs back-to-back. Now, we have designed a system that allows for simultaneous and different displays, driving two screens with one motherboard. Achieving this with a single backlight source is very difficult.

Liu Guohua did not shy away from discussing the difficulties encountered in current cooperation areas: "In new areas, because this transparent screen can bring customers many fantasies and dreams, so many things they want to achieve. This is a technological bottleneck; the output of our transparent screens has not yet reached a certain level, resulting in a high Price. In fact, we can achieve some things, but as a manufacturer and distributor, in a commercial model, we still need to consider profit. However, without volume, the Price will be very high, making it difficult to meet customer needs."

Shenzhen Wan Guo also has greater ambitions in channel development. Regarding the future direction of development, General Manager Liu has a clear understanding: focusing on high-cost-effective products. General Manager Liu said: "We will continue to make this difficult point for customers into a civilian, mass-produced product, and then face the market."

The secret to success is persistence and innovation

Looking back at the commercialization of the commercial display industry in the Chinese market over the past few years, Wan Guo Electric has played an irreplaceable leading role. In 2017, the debut of Wan Guo's A1 transparent display cabinet, with its self-developed screen sound field technology and minimalist design style, fully demonstrated the advantages of transparent technology in displaying products, not only allowing consumers to re-understand the transparent display effect but also driving a new round of consumer boom in the Chinese market for transparent LCD screens.

Regarding the secrets to the company's success, Liu Guohua believes it ultimately comes down to the company's 12 years of persistence and its cultivation and trust in its young team. “Because for us, this is an era of youth, and also an era of intelligent internet, the things that are designed are definitely designed by young people, and the problems they raise are more closely aligned with our current market needs. They are more in line with the aesthetic needs of this era, in terms of aesthetics and applications, young people are far ahead of people of our age.” In future competition, as long as the company adheres to innovative development and aligns with major industrial trends, it will be able to continuously grow itself. This is not only the requirement for future development, but also the fundamental path for the long-term development of Wanguo Electric.

Wanguo Electric has participated in the Canton Fair and the Dubai Industrial Design Exhibition. It has clients from all over the world and has reached cooperation with 17 countries. Currently, products from Wanguo are used in exhibitions for BMW in Germany, and are also used in Yili's intelligent meeting recording systems. Regarding the future market for dual-screen technology, Liu Guohua stated that he believes this technology will be widely popularized in five years.
